Malcolm Harradine was “knee height to a grasshopper” when he got involved in cooking and his Mum taught him and his two brothers basic culinary skills.

He still remembers good old-fashioned British cooking and baking. Like kids of today, he waited eagerly to lick the last morsels of cake mix before the Victoria sponge went into the oven, or tasting the crackling off the roast pork before it reached the dining room table.

In the mid 1970s, after running the family catering business in Cornwall, Malcolm ventured into sales and marketing which involved product development in both the catering and kitchen Housewares industry. He has seen many changes in the last 35 years.

In 1993 he made his first foray into TV work, first appearing on QVC UK, then JML, Ideal World Shopping TV, QVC Italy and is now a regular guest presenter on the recently launched Hochanda shopping channel, launching the latest innovative kitchen products.

In 2003 Malcolm began working as a professional in-store demonstrator and product trainer, a role that still takes him all over the UK. He also carries out regular childrens cooking workshops in Bentalls of Kingston – he believes in starting them young!

Malcolm has written his own book “A Kitchen Equipped2” (available to download free from iTunes) and writes a monthly product training article for the Housewares magazine as their resident kitchenware expert.
